This is a story about Creation. In Heaven and Earth, I wrote the Chinese seal-script character for ‘elephant’ in a bowl of water and photographed the process of its disintegration. Here, ink in water intermingles with light—the scenes captured resemble the creation of Heaven and Earth. 

All is constantly in flux. 

A mountain may seem static, but viewed in a history of ten million years, we see that it too experiences changes as dramatic as the ocean’s surface.
