Changing with Seasons progressed naturally from “The Root”, marking a continuation of the What Has Nature Said project.  

In that exhibition, the centre of the display area had been left open as I had hoped to show the audience the shadow of The Root drifting over the floor with time.  Unfortunately, throughout the two-week exhibition, the winter sun only shone once.  Some visitors came, found "nothing" in the room, and quickly left, disappointed.  

Thereafter, I experimented with ways to preserve the sunlight and the shadow.  After almost two years of effort, I hoped to share with spectators the experience of watching the shadows evolve over time.

The shadows cast by sunlight are constantly in flux – drifting every second, its colour varying with each season.  For almost two years, I traced the shapes and locations of the shadow of The Root in different seasons and hours to make tactile the intangible.  

Using different colours to mark the shadows cast at different times in different seasons, I overlaid twelve of these casts to track the growth and movement of light and its impressions over time.  

「天何言哉」首次展出時,象小姐將整個展廳中間的部份留空,希望讓觀眾看見「根」在地上的倒影隨著地球的轉動而漂移。可惜,在兩星期的展覽期間,冬天的太陽衹出來過一次。有些訪客來了,以爲這裏是空的,就走了。後來,象小姐設法把陽光和影子留住,而陽光的影子隨時日而變化,每分每秒的位置都不一樣,色感也會轉變。象小姐用了差不多兩年的時間終於把「根」的影子在四季中不同時辰的形狀和位置畫了下來,與大家分享影子漂移的軌跡和對大自然的贊嘆。
